About
Duo Orchid, the award-winning piano duo of Jimmy Cheung and Angela Lau, are Hong Kong–born musicians based in San Antonio, Texas. In this engaging matinee program for piano four hands, they perform music by Franz Schubert, Francis Poulenc, Cécile Chaminade, and Samuel Barber. The program showcases the rich colors and expressive possibilities of the piano duet repertoire, highlighting the artistry and collaboration of two pianists sharing one instrument.

A coming-of-age cabaret for a 40-year old theater kid.
Join Anna Caldwell and special guests for a whimsical cabaret celebrating her 40th birthday!
Through songs and stories, Anna explores what it means to be middle-aged, and how entering this phase of life reshapes your dreams, deepens your perspective, and invites you to take in the view from here.
The show features original songs by Michael Oldham, created in collaboration with Anna Caldwell. The program also includes music by Jonathan Larson, Rodgers and Hammerstein, Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, Bock and Harnick, and more.
This special performance is a fundraiser for NAMI Chicago.
After guest artists are compensated for sharing their talents, all net proceeds will be donated to NAMI Chicago, the Chicago affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness, which provides free mental health support, education, and resources to individuals and families throughout the Chicago area.

Emma Taylor is a bassist, vocalist, and educator based in Chicago. Emma has played with renowned musicians such as Brian Lynch, Carl Allen, Jim Snidero, Gary Smulyan, Troy Roberts, Joel Spencer, and Ben Markley. Aside from playing in the US, Emma has also toured throughout South America, Cuba, and Mexico—most recently completing a two week-long residency performing and teaching classes in Brazil at the Federal University of Uberlândia.
Steve Million, a 1988 finalist in the internationally renowned Thelonious Monk Piano Competition , has long been a staple of the Chicago jazz scene, working with artists such as Randy Brecker, saxophonists Chris Potter and Dick Oatts, and legendary bassist Michael Moore.
