About
Typhanie Monique and Neal Alger have embraced the rich challenge of playing duet gigs together for roughly 28 years in all. Their shared love of straight-ahead jazz, classic rock, and R&B/Soul is reflected in the diverse repertoire that has made its way onto three nationally-acclaimed CD’s. Now a resident of Arizona, Monique is returning to Chicago to reunite with Alger to delight audiences here once again.

Musical performance by bw3. bw3 is the brainchild of trombonist and electronic artist Brendan Whalen. After moving to Chicago in 2015 to study music with some of the city’s finest musicians, the 29-year-old transplant became frustrated with the boundaries of traditional music and has made it a mission to break them down ever since. Fusing jazz, hip hop, and funk with ambient, electronic, and hard rock, bw3 has something for everybody and never fails to create a unique sonic experience.
