Score Call, the national call for scores funded by Nova Linea Musica and directed by Clarice Assad, drew submissions from composers across the country, and the three selected winners hear their work brought to life tonight by the Nova Linea Musica Piano Trio: Rabia Brooke, violin; Ashly Ryoo, cello; Tamila Salimdjanova, piano.
Every piece on this program is being performed for the first time. No recordings, no reference points, no received wisdom about how any of it should sound. Just three composers, three trios, and a room full of people hearing something no one has heard before.
